Your chats stay with you. Every chat gets its own folder in Open Chats, in the place you pick: your Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, or a folder on this computer. Inside is the chat as JSON, Markdown and CSV, and an artifacts folder with the images you attach and the code and files the model makes. Nowhere else: not in this browser, not on our servers. There is no account here, and this site can see only what it made there.
Zero retention, every message. Each message goes straight to OpenRouter with a zero-data-retention requirement attached. Only a provider that promises to delete it after answering can serve it, and if none will, the message fails instead of being sent anyway.
Or keep the model at home too. Running Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp or Jan? Pick a model on your own computer and this page talks to it directly. Those messages never touch the internet at all.
Search only when you turn it on. Web search is off until you switch it on in the composer. When it is on, the model can look things up, and those searches go to a search provider the zero-retention promise does not cover. PDFs are off here for the same reason. Images go straight to the model, inside the same zero-retention request.
One thing to know: a chat in Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox is a file that company holds like any other file there. A folder on this computer is held by no one but you. Delete the folder and the chat is gone.
